Colour Therapy Series: INDIGO
Colour (Colour Therapy or Chromotherapy) is one of the highest in the hierarchy of healing and like sound, is easy to use and implement into our daily lives. Colour, as with everything in the universe, vibrates at it's own (varying) frequencies – It's energy is 'alive' and in constant flux as it harmonises or creates discord with all other living things. All systems, organs, tissues and cells are comprised of vibrating atoms from microscopic plankton on earth to every star in every solar system. We all absorb and emit colour (light), all of the time. You could miss a potential rainbow of opportunity if you underestimate the power of colour to transform. This blog series is a basic introduction to the attributes most commonly associated with the colours: Red | Orange | Yellow | Green | Pink | Blue | INDIGO | Violet | Enjoy!
Supports problems with immune systems | Helpful with sinustis | Soothing for any issues relating to the face | Links to the pituitary gland which influences growth, metabolism, body chemistry and Oxytocin, the hormone responsible for contractions during labour and lactation for nursing mothers. Associated with Integrity | The colour of intuition | Deep Sincerity | Dignity | Powerful | Indigo holds the vibration and attributes of dark blue and violet
Indigo in balance: Oozes charisma, highly intuitive and may have an increase in spiritual experiences. More adept at meditation and visualisation and not attached to materialistic ways of thinking and being
Indigo out of balance: Authoritarian, over logical and analytical, self righteous, fears of success, lack of imagination and tendency to procrastinate
REMEMBER – TIP FOR USING INDIGO: "Like the colour of a night sky, fathoms deep, the third eye."
