I take a candle, and light it, in your name,
And I look deep into the heart of the light,
That shines so warm and brightly,
And I ask you, “hear my prayer,"
I ask for your love and strength at this time,
I ask that you give me the courage to continue on even when times get tough
And to show gratitude for all that I have overcome so far.
I am blessed to have the knowledge
That the light within us all grows everyday
For ourselves, humankind and all life that resides on our Mother
With whom she shares her bounty.
Please extend your light to those who may not see your glimmer
So that hope rekindles their heart with joy
And awakens their passion for life.
